Week 6 NFL News
Well week 6 of the NFL already and time is breezing by. My blogging has declined lately due to work and family committments.
Here is some of my top NFL news picks from week 6:
The NFL will clamp down on helmet-to-helmet hits by issuing suspensions rather than fines. - there were some huge hits this week, and after all the brain injury stories in last year it's about time the NFL got tough on this.
Here are the Week 6 NFL Scores:
Jets 24 Broncos 20
Raiders 9 49ers 17
Cowboys 21 Vikings 24
Colts 27 Redskins 24
Browns 10 Steelers 28
Saints 31 Bucs 6
Chiefs 31 Texans 35
Ravens 20 Patriots 23 (OT)
Dolphins 23 Packers 20 (OT)
Falcons 17 Eagles 31
Chargers 17 Rams 20
Lions 20 Giants 28
Seahawks 23 Bears 20

NFL Update Going into Week 9
Man, as of week 8 there were a lot of really bad teams so far this season – St. Louis (0-7), Tampa Bay (0-7), Tennessee (0-6), Kansas City (1-6), Cleveland (1-6) and Detroit (1-5) with the Redskins, Seahawks, Raiders and Panthers not too far behind with only two wins. Can it get any worse for these teams?
Well in week 8: A touchdown with 21 seconds to play gave San Diego Chargers a 21-20 win against the New York Giants. Michael Turner starred as the Atlanta Falcons beat the Washington Redskins 31-17. Seattle Seahawks came from 17-0 behind to defeat the Detroit Lions 32-20. New Orleans Saints have made the best start in their history after beating Carolina Panthers 30-20. The Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 20-16 in the 100th meeting between the teams. Cincinnati Bengals ground out a 17-7 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The Tennessee Titans upset the 49ers in San Francisco with a 34-27 road win at Candlestick Park. Indianapolis kept their 100 per cent record intact with a 20-17 victory over Houston. Tom Brady and Randy Moss linked up to lead New England to a 27-17 victory over Miami. Tampa Bay picked up their first win of the season on Sunday, beating Green Bay 38-28. One-time Chicago target Kurt Waner led Arizona to a 41-21 victory over the Bears. Jacksonville returned to form with a 24-21 victory over Kansas City on Sunday. Cincinnati Bengals ground out a 17-7 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

NFL Returns
It's been a long off-season, and a crazy pre-season but this Thursday NFL is back.
Some of the more interesting news this pre-season:
Quarterback Brett Favre is to come out of retirement to play for the Minnesota Vikings. He said his will to win another Super Bowl prompted his decision to join the Minnesota.
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Michael Vick on a two-year contract. He will be allowed to return in week three of the regular season, after being released from prison for his involvement in a dog fighting ring.
Former New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress is almost certain to do some jail time after shooting himself in the leg in a New York nightclub. He faces weapons charges.
