Favre on Fire

Brett Favre threw for 224 yards and two touchdown passes as the New York Jets put an end to the Tennessee Titans' perfect season with a 34-13 victory on Sunday afternoon.
Brett Favre and the New York Jets put an end to the Tennessee Titans' perfect season.

Tennessee (10-1), who were seeking its first 11-0 start in history and 14th consecutive regular-season victory, could mount little offence against the surging Jets (8-3), who notched their fifth straight win.

I had $100 on the Titans to go unbeaten all season at BetUS sportsbook. I guess I can kiss that goodbye!

Favre is still the man - Favre finished 25-of-32 for 224 yards with the two scoring passes and one interception. The three-time MVP added to his bevy of league records by throwing his 20th touchdown pass of the seasons.

That gave Favre 14th consecutive seasons with at least 20 scoring passes, breaking the record he shared with former Miami Dolphins standout Dan Marino.

The defence forced four turnovers and Brett Favre and Thomas Jones took advantage by leading the New York Jets to eight straight scoring drives in a 47-3 demolition of St Louis.

Rookie quarterback Matt Ryan engineered another Atlanta Falcons 34-20 victory as he passed for 248 yards and two scores against the New Orleans Saints.
