NFL 2007 Schedule Announced
Big news finally - The NFL has announced its 17-week, 256-game regular-season schedule for 2007 and it will kick off on Thursday, September 6 when the Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts host the New Orleans Saints.
That game will be a rematch of January's AFC title game, won by the Colts 38-34 after they fell behind 20-3. Indianapolis and Peyton Manning, who went on to beat Chicago in the Super Bowl, now have beaten Tom Brady and the Patriots three straight times, including the title game and a victory in Foxborough during the 2006 season.
For the second straight season, the opening Monday night has a doubleheader with Baltimore visiting Cincinnati and San Francisco hosting Arizona.
A few games already appear to be must-see encounters, like the San Diego Chargers visiting the New England Patriots on Monday, Sept. 17.
San Diego had the NFL's best record a year ago at 14-2 and had not lost at home all season but fell to the Patriots 24-21 in the AFC Divisional playoff.
I can't wait.
