NFL Week 9 - Bears no longer perfect

Joey Harrington tossed three TD passes as Miami Dolphins shocked Chicago
31-13 to hand the unbeaten Bears their first loss of the season yesterday.
With just one win this season the Dolphins (2-6) were not expected to present
the heavily favoured Bears with much of challenge, particularly at home
where they were unbeaten in their last 10 games at Soldier Field.

In other games yesterday:

Detroit Lions (2-6) polished off visiting Atlanta Falcons (5-3) in a 30-14
decision. The hometown Baltimore Ravens (6-2) jumped ahead 14-0 in the first five
minutes and never looked back in a 26-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals (4-4).

Washington kicker Nick Novak had a second chance to kick a gamewinning FG in the dying
seconds, nailing this one after missing a 49-yarder with 31 seconds to go, to
lift the hometown Redskins (3-5) to a 22-19 win over the Dallas Cowboys (4-4).

Green Bay Packers (3-5) surrendered a 24-10 loss to the hometown Buffalo Bills (3-5).
Hometown NY Giants (6-2) knocked off the Houston Texans (2-6) by a score of 14-10.
Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) took a 31-17 win over the hometown St. Louis Rams (4-4).

Visiting New Orleans Saints (6-2) continued their winning ways with a 31-14
rollover of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-6). Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3) disposed of the visiting
Tennessee Titans (2-6) by a score of 37-7.

San Francisco 49ers (3-5) won a game of FGs in a 9-3 snorefest over the visiting Minnesota Vikings
(4-4). The hometown Super Bowl champs Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6) again failed to show why they were
champs last season, in a 31-20 loss to the Denver Broncos (6-2).

San Diego Chargers (6-2) held off the visiting Cleveland Browns (2-6) by a score of 32-25.
